Murata Electronics Oy, Vantaa, Finland is one of the leading manufacturers of automotive MEMS sensors. On 30.1.2012 became part of Murata Manufacturing Company (MFI). MFI is the leader in automotive low-g accelerometers with 50% market share and is becoming a major player in automotive yaw-rate sensors after the launch of a new product range of combined gyro-accelerometer sensors. MFI is also the market leader in accelerometers for cardiac pace makers with over 60% market share. MFI's revenue was over EUR 100M in 2012. MFI has 800 employees. Manufacturing operations are located in Vantaa, Finland.

 

Main role in the project:

Process backend development for NIR FPI's. Test line development. Assembly line development. Supporting VTT in MEMS process qualification and process control. MURA is WP5 leader.
